The new Kaikohe Library and Civic Hub is a step closer to reality, with design plans approved by the project steering group on Monday 3 March.
The striking designs promise to deliver a transformative new facility for Kaikohe, set to take shape at the corner of Broadway and Raihara Street. As part of the approval process, steering group members visited the site to better understand the project’s scale and potential. Design workshops gathered feedback from 1045 respondents, including taitamariki from five local schools and Ngā Hapū o Kaikohekohe, a collective of six hapū in Kaikohe.
Far North Holdings is leading the project management for this exciting development, which has been years in the making and is set for completion in 2026.
